Two Dialysis a Day
Every year about 2.5 lakh new patients of End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) get added in India resulting in additional demand for 3.5 crore dialysis every year. It is sad that for many in the middle income and low income categories, the additional expenditure burden of Rs.3-4 lakhs every year is too much to bear and hence gets untreated. Midtown initiated to sponsor one dialysis per day in the RY 2020-21. From September 2023, Rotary Midtown is sponsoring two dialysis a day, which is currently happening in P D Hinduja Sindhi Hospital.
